I constantly run into people who ask me what I do to find the right people for the right jobs, and I must confess that I don’t have a precise answer. However, reflecting about it, I always go back to the same point: pay attention. And that’s what I do. Everyday, since I have memory, I know people wherever I go: when I run in the mornings, in the way home, in my children’s school, in my business where I meet services people, on this journey. I mean, “know” because generally I take a few minutes to chat about any theme ‘ad hoc’ with the day we meet and those people talk about their personal life, family and work. Usually I say goodbye and I feel great and also I keep their faces and experiences in my memory for a long time. That’s why I say “pay attention”, because everyday we cross with those stories allow us to build a network of contacts that in some point we’ll meet again and remember, and that is how recruiting is a day to day process, regular and big.
When I talk or they talk about our stories, I always keep something good, and that is what I remember about them if by any chance I get the privilege to invite them to a job process, to make a connection with someone is not necessary to search for it, simply drink a cup of coffee and chat about any topic that will print in your memory forever.
This blog has born today as a chance to create a space where we can share experiences, as much as for those who dedicate to the passionate world of contributing to the development of better places to work, as for those who are in the constant search of a balance in their life that allows them to transcend.
In this journey I have had the fortune to meet people that has become teachers of life, work partners and friends, to whom I will also be inviting to write in this space dedicated to find that the possibilities of growing are endless, as long as we pay attention to how big we are.
¡Welcome!
